About

Project Lemonade is a non-profit organization that believes in finding the potential in underprivileged children.  There are so many families without the resources to help their children find and develop their talents.  Our goal is to give these children experiences for them to gain a broad vision of what they can become and where good decisions and hard work will take them.

We feel extra curricular activities are vital in the lives of all children in that they build character, work ethic, values and responsibility.  This is one of the areas that we have chosen to focus our efforts.  We are in the process of forming a scholarship program that will open doors into community sports, education, music, and the arts.

One thing we are also doing is holding an activity each month.  Through the monthly activities we attempt to expose children to the arts, business, sports, education and entertainment along with many other industries in Utah.  We hope to inspire the children of Utah to dream big, set goals and work hard to accomplish their dreams.

“When Life Gives you Lemons, Make Lemonade,” is the motto of Project Lemonade as well as where we got our name.  One of the most important things we can teach our children is the value of a good attitude when they are faced with adversity.  The ability to persevere and gain vision for your life is invaluable.  This is the platform of Emily Nelson, Mrs. Utah 2008, the founder of Project Lemonade.  She has lectured for schools, religious groups, and civic organizations on this topic.  If you have an event or group you would like to invite Emily to speak at or participate in please feel free to submit an event request at the following link:
